This June, the rainy season brought continuous heavy rain to Hong Kong. Out of curiosity, I started looking up average rainfall data and public "flood blackspot" information, and wondered: is there a better way to visualise these locations and patterns? The answer is a map — a Geographic Information System (GIS).
